Another five sites in Changzhou titled Cultural Heritage Sites under State-level Protection
On May 5, it was learned that the State Administration of Cultural Heritage recently approved and announced the 7th batch of the Major Historical and Cultural Sites Protected at the National Level.
Five sites in Changzhou were classified among the 1,943 newly approved Sites Protected at the National Level. They are: Chinese Shu Ape (Eosimias sinensis) fossil Site located in Liyang, the former site of the Jiangnan Headquarter of New Fourth Army, the Mound Tombs located in Jintan, the ruins of the Capital City of King Helu, and the Jin Garden located in Tianning District.
Plus the formerly approved five Sites, namely the Changzhou section of the Grand Canal, the former residence of Qu Qiubai, the former residence of Zhang Tailei, the ruins of Yancheng, and the ruins of Sanxing Village, Changzhou now has a total of 10 Historical and Cultural Sites Protected at the National Level.
