Tianmuhu white tea contributes to the 1st national organic agriculture model base in Jiangsu

    Recently, the Tianmuhu White Tea Demonstration Base applied by Liyang has passed the examination of the Expert Team of Green Food of the Ministry of Agriculture. It is the 10th national organic agriculture demonstration base in China, and the first national one in Jiangsu province.

    In recent years, through the establishment of Tianmuhu White Tea Association, Liyang significantly improved the white tea planting efficiency, while the white tea was registered as one of the National Agricultural Geographical Indications. Last year, the White Tea Base planted 11,000 mu (about 733 hectares) of organic white tea, involving more than 10,000 farmers, and reached the production of 128 tons and sales of 320 million yuan.
