Changzhou rural labor resources showing a downward trend

   Recently, it is learned from the municipal statistics sector that currently the city's rural labor force is 1,299,300, a decrease of 28,800 over the previous year, dropped by 2.2%. Secondary and tertiary industries have a labor force of 1,045,700, a decrease of 2.1%, accounting for 81% of the total rural labor.

The labor force of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries is respectively 0.2536 million, 0.7489 million and 0.2968 million, down 2.5%, 0.6% and 5.7% respectively.

In recent years, with the rapid pace of urbanization, new rural construction and industrial restructuring, the rural labor resources in Changzhou have been declining, indicating that the rural labor force is continuously transferring to cities.
