Changzhou's first underground refuse transfer station put into use

Recently, the refuse transfer station (RTS) at Longjiang Road, Zhonglou District was put into use. With a total investment of RMB 19 million yuan and an area of 2,000 square meters, this is the only fully automatic-control RTS in China, the largest one in the south of Yangtze River region, and the city's first underground RTS, which realized no-noise, less-pollution waste disposal. Currently, the maximum daily processing capacity is up to 200 tons.
